
The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE)
The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is a federation of NGOs for promoting sustainable development through environmental education. It is based in Denmark and founded over 25 years. FEE have 72 member organizations in 63 countries worldwide across 5 continents. A member organization in every country represents FEE nationally and is in charge of developing programs to the FEE.
Since 1981, the FEE actively promotes environmental education through its international programs, which accompany the commitments made in Agenda 21, and involve audiences of all ages and nationalities through school education, staff training and general awareness.
FEE, developed several international programs including: "Blue Flag" for the beaches, "Young Reporters for the Environment" for students "Eco Schools" for primary schools, "Green Key" for tourist establishments and Learning forests.
Internationally, The Green Key Eco-label is supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Tourism Organisation (WTO).
